Hi all,
I have been trouble identifying an old Schwinn bicycle model that I had restored with my father. Some of the serial numbers on the bottom are visible, but some are completely worn due to the age. I have been researching based on the partials that I have, and I am guessing that it is a late 40’s/early 50’s model. I understand that models before the year 1948 were lost in a records fire.
Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated!

Before you go out and buy Schwinn decals for that restoration, spend some time at thecabe.com. That frame has all the characteristics of frames made by the Cleveland Welding Company. They made frames for Murray, Sears, Hawthorne, Roadmaster ….etc.
The long point dropouts, and the crimped dropout/chainstay and seat stay junction, the fork crown all point to CWC. Even the chain guard and rack look like CWC products.
