First things first, I’m a newbie. I cycled with a street bike for years but this is the first time I approach bikepacking and wanted to buy a bike. As a newbie I obviously struggled with the size choice but used the guide on the website and it told me that the 52cm version was the best choice. I went for the 53cm as it was the only available. When it arrived home I was so happy but the bike looked a bit small at first glance. Then I looked at the frame and noticed a sticker that said for the 53cm version the rider should be between 157-168cm tall. This created so much confusion because I am 176cm and on the official size guide I was told to go for a smaller one. Anyone could help?

  1. The official size guide (meaning from the salsa geometry sheet) says that size 53 is for 1,57m to 1,70m. Size 55 is from 1,65 to 1,78. never trust the retailers websites sizing guide. Always go with the manufacturers guide.

You should probably contact the seller and ask them to take your bike back and exchange it for a larger version.
