I was out on a ride last week, and I was in the lowest gear. Something seemed to get stuck I think, and I tried to shift gears and nothing happened! I couldn’t shift at all, and I had to unscrew the gear cable from the derailleur just so I could get back home without sustaining a 150rpm cadence.
I’ve attached a video of the current state of the shifter – but I’m at a loss as to what to do now, as there’s seems to be very little in documentation/guides publicly available on EKAR. It’s outside of warranty, and while I could just buy a new shifter and get it fitted, I thought I’d see if anyone had any ideas as to what might be wrong.
Thanks!

Bummer! I’ve had a similar issue that comes and goes. I’ve greased the ratcheting mechanism which has seemed to help. Some relevant thoughts for you to consider [here](https://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=258775&highlight=campagnolo+hydraulic&page=37)
Particularly: There’s a little spring in the thumb-switch assembly that causes the pawl that engages the release mechanism to disengage when the thumb switch is in the null position. I’ve seen them break, though it was a lotta years ago, and it was always from wear, never when new… The result is, this pawl doesn’t fully disengage when the shifter returns. Could be the cause.
