At 1:00 pm, The Upson County Emergency Management Agency has conducted a test of their Outdoor Warning Siren System. They are tested every First and Third Wednesday of the month, weather permitting.

About a few months ago, there was a bad thunderstorm that hit parts of this area, where lightning struck and damaged/fried the 911 Radio Tower. It took them a couple of months for the repair to be done. It has been 5 months since I have recorded Thomaston, and I think it is time I went back there to record one of their sirens. This siren is located near the GDOT Facility on 67 Jimmerson Rd, in Hannahs Mill, GA.
