I did my first 5 foot drop in last week and I want to do half pipe but I can’t do 180 yet. Shall I learn it both ways (left and right rotation) or do most people only master one way at first? One way seems like it will be quicker to learn but then my muscles and habits might be wrong?

Most people only go one way, but if you learn both the start you’ll probably be better off and have more options for tricks and transfers
Master one way first, which way you should do it first depends of which way you are more comfortable turning which usually depends of which foot do you place in front. A lot of people who can do it 180 both ways change their stance and they never get comfortable doing it with their default stance
Sure, why not? It’s freestyle homie, learn whatever you wanna!
Go big and master all 3 ways.
180s, 3s, half cabs, wall rides and grinds both ways will double the spots you can ride. funnest grinds and spins I’ve done have been opposite. but try and figure out the fundamentals on your natural side first and then learning opposite will be much easier
I suggest learning one way first then start having fun applying it by doing it off curbs, in to a shallow wedge and slowly progress to a 2/3/4 stair, ledge etc.
Trying to learn both ways too soon can be frustrating and make riding unenjoyable, and demotivating which defeats the object of why you got into riding BMX.
I wish I had learned both ways sooner. Figure out your dominant side and perfect that and dial in the switch after that
Yes because lookbacks and downside whips fuck.
Sure. Some people just go both ways.
