Hi guys!
Building a bike up for my mom and just realized there looks like a crack on the head tube. Looked inside of the frame and it does not go all the way through. Don’t know what to do as I already got a bunch of new parts.
Yes, sorry friend. No fixing that as it’s aluminum. good thing ya hadn’t built the bike yet!
EDIT: as for the new parts you bought, check out ebay for a comparable frame swap

It definitely looks like a crack. I’d suggest removing the top cup of the headset to see the inside better, or take it to a bike shop and have them look it over.

Do not be tempted to keep building this bike, for anyone but especially if your mum will be riding it!

I’d usually think it’s difficult to say from a photo, but in this case, that is 100% a crack.

Definitely a crack more than likely caused by driving the top cup in when it was not square to the frame.
