How would one go about keeping this look but weather proofing and a new clear coat?

Ive had this raw metal frame since just after release of the V2, no cracks or fractures visible, im from UK so i didn’t really have knowledge about mixing raw metal and our typical rainy weather, i love the look of keeping this style of rust patina and rust veins but would love to preserve it as is. Any tips or tricks, youtube videos accepted.
