It took me considerably less effort to ride on the 12 speed when compared to the 6 speed. As Brompton commented, gear 2 of the internal gear hub is more than enough for a leisure ride on flat ground while the wider gear ratio allows the rider to climb slope much easier than before. Within gear 2 of the IGH, I am able to achieve 33km easier, subjected headwind :P. Overall, I really enjoy the upgrade of the wider gear ratio

I am so saving up for one of those 12 speed ebikes, electric version…yet also waiting to see if they will finally add a frelling PAS changer to the handlebars like every other ebike on the planet except Brompton. I mean really…lean over the handlebars to change assist levels??? Or stop halfway up a hill??? “Why an ebike” you say… bcs lots of hills, plus torn knee meniscus.
