Looking for a decent bike ≤$500 for commuting and longer (~30-40mi) weekend rides. This is one of the few decent bikes in my size range that is nearby.
I was unable to find any info on this model. It appears the fork was replaced with a (carbon?) Surly fork and it has new Salsa handlebars. I believe most components are Ultegra.
Seller is asking $425. Only info is the size.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated. TIA

It’s an early 2000’s trek xo1. It’s a cyclocross bike so definitely test ride it before you give any cash away. The geometry on these is a little wonky.
I can’t speak to value bc I truly have no clue but 425 seems high
