So I buyed a second hand gear bicycle but the gear doesn’t properly shift and I know the index problem which the H and L bolt is not working I tried fixing it with a little screw driver the index doesn’t even moves (I watched professional workers video in yt so I can identify what the problem was) I did am the thing in the video but it doesn’t do anything, should I buy a new gear for the back,
Also I’ve gone to the bike shop worker to fix it for me but he couldn’t and told me to go to the city for it
Also what type of rear gear would it fixes the issue (this gear index has two wheels in it also the is Also bent a little which is the reason why I considered buying a new gear for it)

Your rear derailleur looks bent. I assume also your derailleur hanger also is bent.

The rear derailleur might be fixable, but a new one shouldn’t be too expensive as you can go for a used one for 7-9 speed, any will do as long as it has the same pull ratio. I assume yours is from Shimano, but I’m not sure.
