So I recently changed my cranks, bb set, chain and sprocket and this sound appeared out of no where and I don’t know how to fix it, I went to a bike shop and they say it’s maybe the hub..Any tips?
Doesn’t sound like a hub noise to me. Some kind of chain chatter… maybe the front and rear sprockets aren’t aligned and the chain is stepping off one to the side and latching to the side, if you get what I mean.
First and cheapest option is take the front sprocket off, drop the rear wheel out… then refit sprocket making sure it’s all tightened up and the sprocket is seated properly. Then refit the rear wheel, tighten up, check the chain tension, check from abve or below that the chain isn’t pulled off a straight line between the two.
This is just a bad fit noise imho, not a faulty part noise.

It kind of sounds like your chain is too tight.
