Guy almost sideswipes me while zooming past me just to pull over half a mile ahead and block one of the few MUPs on my commute. At least he pulled over to use his phone and was apologetic… This far from my worst close call or experience here which is why I started riding with my GoPro when I remember. Be safe out there!

Yeah, but there’s literally nothing you can do against getting rammed from behind. Except being visible, of course, but that’s something I consider the bottom line – not to mention that I have had drivers tell me that they didn’t see me, [while my bike was looking like this](https://i.imgur.com/3GgC6Ls.jpeg) from behind, except with the tail light being even brighter.
The decision to overtake is a conscious one on the part of the driver, and one I cannot influence. [And a camera doesn’t protect me](https://old.reddit.com/r/autobloed/comments/18g1otz/das_sind_15_m/), it only helps to visualise the normality of what people call “outliers”.
