  1. Mounted 36mm Challenge Strada Biancas on my stock/utility wheelset with 17mm internal rims — with straps and a bead jack, after giving up mounting them on a wider rim.

    While the rear went on well enough to hold air even without sealant, the front was still giving me “ping” sounds at 70psi (stopped just short of the 600kPa = 87psi limit) and air still escapes at the bead around most of the tire, resulting in these little bubbles.

    I’m using the last of my Stan’s before removing it later today as I need to pack up the bike for travel; before pinning all my hopes on my preferred Orange Seal, has anyone experienced anything like this before or have suggestions how I might fix this? Thanks in advance!
