Hi! Average Joe here.
Riding 160+kms (100+ miles) a week at an average of 30kph (20 mph). I live in Miami (USA), so it’s flat roads everywhere except for our highest climb… the Rickebaker Causeway bridge (25 meters/76 feet altitude) and I usually get slightly dropped by my group there, also I’m one of the slowest when sprinting… you get the picture (although I’m getting better!).
I’m considering getting a better bike than my [2017 Cannondale CAAD8 Full Ultegra with Vision Trimax 25Kb wheels](https://i.redd.it/wfsqhny3p1b71.jpg) and I have my eyes on a CervĂ©lo Soloist, but my budget makes me have to decide between:
A) Shimano Ultegra Mechanical and stock Fulcrum Racing 600 DB wheels.
B) Shimano 105 Mechanical and Reserve 40/44 wheels.
What would be the best option? Thanks in advance.

Groupset won’t make you faster at all. Good carbon wheels will. There is little to no difference between those two groupsets, just a few grams that you’ll likely never notive
