I’ve thrown 12 packs in the milk crate before but I want to upscale to 18, 24 or 30 for the bulk value without risking too much weight on the handlebars

According to the google, a case of beer weighs 12kg. Put some weights in there and drive around the block to see you get on

Dunno. Can’t imagine a whole slab on the front fork is safe. Can you put it in a backpack? Maybe a six pack in the basket then the rest on your back?

It depends on what tyre pressure you’re running in the front, and whether you plan on steering it. For that kind of weight you’re better off with a backpack.
