May be something wrong with Shadow Plus damper. I think it needs reassembly and regreasing. I faced something like this on SLX once.

Looks like your chain may be a little long – I’d consider taking out a few links until you’ve got some tension.

I had something similar when I built up a new to me bike. I went with the torque number on the bolt which was 18nm I believe, looking at the bikes site it was 9-18nm I believe. The wheel set was new but I did pull the hub apart and put some grease on the bearings and axle, which seemed to help. I have since been able to tighten to a higher number however I stop around 10-12.

That shitty sound from your hub? Or the loose chain?

Derailleur doesn’t look in quite the right position. It should take up the slack.

B tension screw. I don’t know if your chain too long or now but the slapping of the chain can usually be remedied with the tightening of the B tension
Keep in mind that you will probably need to re-index your gears and adjust your derailleur accordingly.

Bad derailleur. I’d get it rebuilt or buy a new one!
