Is the Alpina crankset any good and worth for the money? I know it’s Dolans house brand and u see those on a lot at tracks for rental, but I’ve never seen a Alpina crank on the street.
Is there any noticeable difference to for example a miche primato advance pista ?
Thanks in advance

I had one a few years ago and it snapped at about 5000km. Customer service was non existent. Was decent enough up until it broke.
I know a few people riding them, they seem pretty solid.
Alpina bars are used at the highest level of track competitions and the olympics.
The cranks, seatposts etc are a good quality, robust, cheap option and, as you said, come standard from Dolan – they wouldn’t use them if they weren’t decent.
I’ve used that exact crankset and it was great – only stopped as I snagged some Omniums
They are in my experience very similar to Sram s300’s, but with 144bcd instead.
All in all, good enough for anyone who isn’t a pro track cyclist. I would however recommend to only get this crankset if you can get it without any import dues and taxes.
If you’re in the UK and getting this from the Dolan shop, they are more than worth it.
