Looks fine to me. You can try with lower torque, I see no issue with 4~4.5Nm with carbon paste.

I had something similar with some 3t bars. The stem basically crushed the little grip tape used to stop the bars slipping, and it eventually flaked off. This stuff was wafer thin and definitely not carbon, more like paper really.
Underneath was smooth carbon, identical to the rest of the bar, with no indentation. I’ve been riding the bars for almost a year since with zero issues.
When I say crushed, I mean just like in the pic. The tape bunched up in between the stem and faceplate, eventually it tore due to rotating the bar a few times whilst trying to find my ideal bar angle.

Might be that you have accidentally managed to install the front plate a bit skewed, and then tightened it to the correct torque. So basically the front plate was at and angle, and then it tightened unevenly on the bars.
Personally I would bin it. I managed to do similar shit to one of my bars, and they started creaking before I noticed.

This does happen from time to time. Most people will blame too much clamping force, but I’ve seen it from the correct amount of torque!
I’d ride it!
