The caliper sits way to far off the rotor for it to be properly engaged. The adapter says it’s for a 203 rotor and the rotor is a 203. What am I doing wrong here?
It’s likely an adapter for a 203 rotor assuming you are starting with a 160 post mount (which many rear brakes are) but your front fork has a 180 post mount. Bike “standards” aren’t exactly standard.
Edit: it looks like you have the equivalent of magura’s “QM 42” which is a 160 to 203 adapter. What you need is magura QM 44 or equivalent:

Managed to get it to work with a different 180 adapter, thanks for the help people
