I'd have said no there isn't much they can do tbh
Even Police, Fire and Ambulance have to jump through hoops and paperwork to avoid a charge at the toll. They must fill in a form in advance (how can they if it's an emergency?) Then submit it to the M6Toll for a decision.

They are robbing bar stewards for want of another word. Try and counter charge them for clearing their lane. It would be worth the publicity. As they have no shame. It just goes to show you it is all about money. Love your vids
Add a clause so that the customer has to pay for any toll charges incurred. Especially for any RS3 drivers with poor reading skills.
What would happen if you refused to pay? Is there an exit people can take?

Love how you treat the danger of motorways with the respect it deserves. Safety is wasted effort up until the moment it's needed, and then it becomes genius thinking.

Pretty sure I wouldn't be able to concentrate on the job in hand with vehicles coming past at motorway speeds. I'd be waiting to be the next statistic.

I used the toll road just once a while ago I try to avoid it as it is so very expensive. But I was behind a lorry at the toll and a few days later my bank account had the fee for a lorry taken out! Luckily for me I had a dash cam so had proof. When I phoned m6 toll I was at first told they could not find my registration on their system. It was only when I told them that I had dash cam footage and told the the date, lane and time that i was in when I paid that they miraculously found my car registration. They then told me sometimes if you follow a lorry through the toll, their systems can incorrectly charge for the vehicle in front! Just a heads up to check you are charged correctly

I had the same thing happen 40 years ago in the Tyne Tunnel, got stopped on the way out northbound and had to pay again to go south. Jobsworths, all of them.

Can you not claim tolls as an expense and just give your accountant the receipt?

I honestly don't know whats worse, being charged to use a toll road that you clearing so more can pay to go through, or a transit driver who don't have a spare wheel and the ability to change it them self, i reckon all these new cars with no spare wheels should be banned its just penny pinching where the customer needs it the most when they desperate,
When you showed the recovery of the Citroen van on the m6, the sound of the traffic flying by really did emphasise how vulnerable anyone is right next to a live lane – even in a recovery bay. Hats off to all you recovery guys 👍👍👍

Love the fact ur showing the reality of recovery and the dangers of our life.but pls do me a favour and lead by example mate.that cable left loose can be dangerous,i see it attached but left with lots of slack.ive seen the result of a loose hook first hand.just be safe and show safe practices.cables are dangerous if not correctly stowed for those who are new to this game.accidents can happen at any time

Just invoice toll company for the removal of a hazard from their motorway.
