In the market for a gravel bike best suited for SBT GRVL Red course (100 mi, 7000ft vert). I’ve been a crux and I’m open to staying there, but wouldn’t mind a little more capability.

But I don’t know why I go for that over a new diverge. The bikes have very similar geo. Any one using a roubaix on gravel primarily?

40 mm max tire clearance is your answer, the Diverge can take up to …. 51? I run 42mm on my diverge. The Roubaix is probably a better experience on the road and on light gravel (dirt roads)
What capability are you looking for that the Crux doesn’t have?
I think the answer is slightly dependent on what other (if any) bike you have. If you already have a Tarmac, I think a Roubaix is too close in performance. If you’re looking for one bike for everything, then go Roubaix or Crux. If you have a road bike, love the speed of road bike and never plan to bike pack, then go with the Crux. If you’re going to get in the chunky stuff and might want to bike pack, Diverge.
Never done this race but gravel in CO is hard packed and fast rolling. Crazy gravel/mtb tires are overkill.
You mention the Red Course but your stats are for the Blue Course. Red is 65 miles. Ive done it a few times. Go with a Diverge. Its great on this course.
