Hey guys, wanting to buy new cranks. I currently have Haro cranks in 175mm and thinking of trying a shorter crank set up, 160mm or 165mm because I have hit the back of my shoe on rear peg couple times. Thinking of Fiend Segment cranks or WTP Logic. Do you guys own these cranks? What could you say about them, are they worth the purchase? Let me know, Thank you

Some good deals on the hawk cult cranks or the cult crew cranks at the moment
If fiend cranks can handle Garrett Reynolds they must be good. My buddy has them and he loves the pinch system they added, so much easier to get them on and off
Opinion from an owner here, so basically I have owned the “Team 2.5pc” Fiends only difference between the Segment and the ones I own is the composition of the cranks
– Segment are 3pc
– Team are 2.5pc
Conclusion:
I’m quite the newbie rider, I have been riding for around 8-9 months and I bought the Fiend Team’s before the summer of 2023 since I’ve bought them I have put them through hell, and they are holding really really nice, I love the geometry I love how chunky and solid they are and for how much I bought mine I can’t complain in the slightest.

I have noticed that my crank bolt comes lose once or twice a month which isn’t convenient in the slightest, here is the thing tho it can be fixed with Loctite TreadLocker.
No experience with either of these cranks but I thought I’d chip in and say going from 175 – 165 was absolutely fine in my experience. Prior to changing, I was really worried I might be spending all my crank money on too short cranks and I’d hate the difference.
The difference is barely noticeable in terms of pure riding/rotation. I promptly ordered a second set of 165s for my second BMX, and I’m poised to switch one set over to 160s any minute now.
Id say 165 is a more popular option that people ride nowadays. 175 was a favorite standard many years ago
I switched from 175 to 165, and most recently 165 to 160. Nothing but good things to say, short arms really help me with spins.
Plus never hitting your heel on the back pegs is a bonus
I own the Fiend cranks in 165mm.
Fantastic cranks. Super strong. And never had issues with ankle biting. Really great cranks
