  1. Put it in the slackest gear while pulling the cable before trying to remove it, the cam wheel isn’t in its fully relaxed position

    That’s it. Wow. Now I remember the GCN video instruction to place the shifter on the highest gear. Thanks guys. You save me a trip to the bike shop.

  3. These are a pain, particularly if your cable is fraying at the bend on the other side. There is a small cover underneath that you can remove to get better access to the cable, you’ll be able to find a video on how to do it.

  4. Did the same miskake, the hoods are blocking the shifter mechanism. This doesnt let you shift in the right gear to get the cable out. Cost me 2h…
