We are a charity that has poverty at our core so some of our customers would not be able to afford a new bike and we want to help relieve poverty um and then it all comes back to how we first originated which is in training so

We want to train people in order how to fix their own bikes and potentially get them into a job in the future we chose bikes because we could see it as a way to get more sustainable travel so hopefully allowing people not to use their cars or bus and travel by bike but

In a more affordable way so even the basic bikes brand new will still cost a few hundred pounds and whereas ours are significantly cheaper and and hopefully we’re helping the environment as well it’s been tough for us our rent has gone up our utilities have gone up everything costs more and

Salaries will need to increase because the national living wage is going up in April there isn’t enough support for us to cover our core costs so for things like the rent and the electrics it costs a huge amount of money to run this organization we’re lucky that we

Have the shop so any money that we make off the bikes goes back into the organization either in doing charitable things like we’ve done like giveaways and we’ve done free bike events and free doctor bike where people can get their bikes fixed for free or it will go back

Into the organization and help us pay for our rent our staff salaries and our utility bills the cost of living crisis has been really difficult for us and my hope is that things kind of get better as the months continue maybe prices will start dropping so we would hope that in

The next five years we continue to grow and then also keep allowing us to give back to people in the community
