Hey there!

It finally came to this. We started planning our first tour beginning in May. We got a 3month gap in our agenda’s without any needs.

This will be the first part of the journey and if it works out we go on from here. The trip in this image is about 200km and we are planning to do it in 10days… yeah 10 days of slow traveling. Why so slow you ask? We have a 2,5year old son with with down syndrome. So as you all know traveling with a little kid is challenging but bc of his ds there are a lot more things to worry about. This is not the easy route to take, but it is our dream to make it come true.

We are going to use the 10 days to get used to traveling by bike, visit familiy, visit friends, figure out what schedules to keep while cycling, when to stop for food and plays, etc etc.

After those 10days we booked a nice cabin at the edge of a nice nature park we like to visit and decide if we go back or continue our journey to maybe Berlin/Denmark or somewhere else.

We will evaluate after this tour if we want to go on with it and maybe start planning a tour from my hometown all the way to Bodrum(Turkey) to drink a cup of coffee at my wife aunt.

Any tips are welcome!

  1. That sounds like a great adventure! Will your son be in a trailer? And how long has he sat in at a time? Is it comfortable for 200km (even if spread out)?
