Hello and welcome to the bike Sentry my name is Ben and today I’m really excited to be able to introduce to you BSA uh which is the latest addition uh to the brands that we sell here at the bike Sentry as you can see got a full compliment of bikes delivered this week
That are now available for sale um and the main reason for the video I’m going to give you a bit of a rundown on our uh our new demonstrator which is this one so BSA first came back to the market about 12 months 14 months ago um and
I’ve had a very successful year thus far um it’s a really nice Retro Brand um obviously BSA a British brand that’s been around for a very long time um under new ownership new production now um but still lots of design cues and stuff that H back to the original uh BSA
Gold star uh that I remember my grand my actually one of my grandparents own in so um you know the I’ve been around for a really long time I’m really into to Retro Classics myself uh we sell lots of Royal enfields and stuff here secondhand but um really pleased to be on board
With BSA so uh gold star is the only model that’s currently available from BSA it’s still powered by a single cylinder uh it’s just over 650 CC uh five-speed box so you know keeping in the traditional sense of what the gold star actually was um comes with this uh sing
Single sided exhaust with a PE shooter on the end there’s a number of aftermarket uh options available for you as you’d imagine uh and comes in a range of colors of which I’ll show you in just a second so starting at the front as we
Always do um I’ve got got a nice uh chrome front wheel nice big brakes on the front with abs and this elongated front mud guard to protect the radiator and the front of the engine this particular one is the Highland Green option uh comes with black forks and
Stuff like that twoot Brembo caliper on the front doesn’t really need a great deal of stopping power given the uh the performance obviously this bike is A2 legal so under 47 brake horsepower but it’s surprisingly Punchy obviously being a single cylinder um it’s actually quite surprising how much power it does feel
Like it puts down for you know the type of bike that it is you know there’s a fair bit of Chrome on the bike you can see the chrome finish on the tank this kind of is uh one of the signature elements of the gold sty you got this
Kind of big Chrome side panel on the tank this really nice large BSA badge uh you got a chrome filler cap just on the top there some chrome trim around the front headlight really really nicely finished uh engine’s finished in a gray paint with this sort of satin it’s like
A satin finish on the side uh silver all accents the bike and then obviously for the uh the battery cover that’s painted in a gloss black it’s a twin shocker uh the shocks are really quite good actually perfect for the UK roads uh there’s a number of aftermarket shock
Upgrades out there same as with uh you know other brands um so if you were going to up quite frequently you could replace those with more robust versions uh there’s a SCE uh CC Bar option with back rest uh luggage options and stuff like that so if those are things that
You’re interested in we’ll definitely be able to help you out there nice elongated rear mudguard I’ve seen a few people cut these down and go for the calf racer look as well um already lots of options available and then obviously you’ve got a tubed spoke rim on the back
Uh to match the front with these vintage looking tires couple nice little details to point out um obviously got a standard uh bold projector style headlight on the front you got this little digital display here that I’ll show you in just a second um the left
Hand side of the bike is pretty much the same obviously no disc on the front wheel on this side at all uh not required you can see the horn is located on this side um but pretty much cosmetically everything is the same um one thing to point out on this
Side is that you’ve got just down here a little 12vt socket which is nice if You’ got any heated clo in or Communications devices stuff like that um and up here we’ve also got a USB c um and a normal USB there as well so if you’re looking at running you
Know like a quad lock or something like that for your phone uh this pre-installed on all the bikes and I think that’s a really nice touch when you fire up the dash you got these two analog gauges um it’s a bit strange because they run backwards or
What I would perceive to be backwards um compared to a normal dial you do have a fuel gauge on this bike as well that’s a nice thing to have and then like I said you got this little digital display here for all your warning lights which I
Think is really nice controls are really really basic really straightforward as you’d expect um you don’t want too much on these bikes you know they are retro classic uh so indicators high beam and then obviously your horn and then on this side uh you can scroll through a couple of different display settings
Trip a and trip B uh on the digital display on the left hand dials so that controls that obviously you got your kill switch your hazard lights and then your starter let’s give it a start up so you can have a listen Obviously a bit premature there obiously cold so yeah as I say this is our demonstrator um it’s literally just been commissioned and registered so this is available for test rides um this is the Highland Green there are a number of color options available the Highland Green currently being the cheapest
Available one uh at 6299 uh they go up to $64.99 for the other colorways um The Only Exception being the fully Chrome option which is the last one on the end here I believe uh we just walk past it yep yeah this one here so this is the
Legacy Edition so that’s the most expensive one at 6 tr9 um but all the others so you’ve got the red there you got the silver and then they also do it uh in a black option here and they are about to bring in all black option out uh that is
Due well fairly imminently I believe uh these are all new 2024 bikes unregistered uh ready to go they’re currently on offer with a 2 plus two warranty so 4 years in total which is really really good um they represent really good value for money compared to
Some of the competition so uh I’m really excited by this brand um you know it’s got a a really deep Heritage uh into woven into uh to the UK fabric of of motorcycling and uh I think you know for those of us who are sort of my age would
Probably remember someone in our family maybe grandparents owning these uh you know when they first or when when they were around originally so um it’s really really cool to to have a Retro Brand in the shop so um we’re going to be selling all of the accessories Etc uh we’re
Going to be offering Finance deals on these as well um so yeah like like everything like normal if you got any questions please feel free to reach out we’ve got WhatsApp live chat all the socials pick up the phone and ask us any questions that you’ve got I feel free to
Pop in and try to B some for size uh if you want to book a demo you can over head over to the bikes cent. co.uk go to the new bike section uh go to book a demo and you’ll be able to register your interest for a demo there as well that’s
It for me thanks very much for watching and I look forward to speaking to you soon take care

One ugly bike
Hi Guys, Misleading as BSA are Indian built motorcycles and owned by Classic Legends who in turn is owned by Mahindra, their 'factory' in the UK didnt get any tooling, it was all diverted to India. They now operate out of an office block in Hampshire that's used by other companies as a mailing address, their Coventry 'factory' now looks like a dead zone.. Tec Bike parts do rear shocks for £59.99 which are superior to the OEM's, so a nice affordable upgrade to enhance handling. The dials are lifted from a Jawa 42. To avoid an EML light turn on ignition, let the dials sweep count to three, then hit the start button. During PDI be super careful with the wires under the tank for the fuel level sensor as the rubber is very thin, when the tank is off check the routing of the main loom as it passes the headstock. The Shadow black will sell well, it looks like something right out of the 1950s with a modern twist.
Radiator no way just ugly
