  1. Don’t know the Jakar as a bike or even the brand that makes it but from a spec point of view it’s superior to the diverge.

    I’d go with the Jakar. Megamo makes good bikes. Specialized also makes great bikes but when comparing specs is almost always more expensive.

    It’s basically a case of a very well known brand with entry-level components, or a much less well known brand with decent mid range components.

    If it is a straight choice between these two I would go with the Megamo without hesitation – especially due to the hydraulic disc brakes and groupset which is two levels above. At this price point I can’t imagine a drastic difference in the frames.

    The comparable bike to the Jakar 30 is the Diverge E5 Elite. You would expect this to be more expensive, but it might be worth spending an extra 200-300€ on it if that is the price difference (could have better resale value etc). But I wouldn’t hesitate to buy the Jakar in any case, these bikes seem to have sold quite well in recent years even from a much less well known brand
