    My first impressions:
    1. This thing is actually lighter than my older 26″ bike. No surprises, I paid more for them to take material off the bike.

    2. Now that I can finally use the whole range of motion my relatively longer legs (I’m long legs/short torso built) have to offer, climbing feels so much easier!

    3. This feels slower to respond when I want it to quickly change directions. I used to ride a lot of free-hand in the city, saves a lot of time when you’re running late for class and can have a quick bite and not have to stop for it, then it just became the new normal. Maybe I still have to get used to this bike but it is very sketchy now to navigate through pedestrians w/o holding the bars, with the bars though, it’s easier but still not quick enough. I remember reading somewhere that 29ers roll like a tank and they’re right.

    4. I come from the world of rim brakes and disk brakes are just *chef’s kiss*
