Received today my Endurace Al 8 Disc as my first road bike! I took it for a ride today and I’m wondering if the size is right and/or if I set up the handlebar angle correctly?
It felt a little bit too far when holding the handlebar on the position pictured but it might just be the position that I’m not used to? The size itself (it’s a large) feels right in general.
Thanks for any help!

Hard to say exactly. Did you use the canyon sizing calculator? Cause it’s pretty accurate if done correctly. As for saddle height you’re gonna need to put shoes on, then push one pedal all the way down and see how extended your leg is. If it’s way over or under extended, then you’ll need to adjust the height. Usually you want some bend at the knee but not too much. And depending on your overall flexibility and back etc you *may* need to lower it little by little from there. That’s if pain or discomfort occurs.
As for bars, if you have back pain you can angle them up, otherwise keep them flat or slightly down.
Once you’re pain free, just leave it and ride safe!
Your shifters look like theyre tilted down.
Look it up on youtube if you’re not sure how to adjust. Basically just roll the hoods back and loosen the clamps.
The flat part of the shifters should be about parallel with the ground and that should reduce the reach like in your second picture
