I am currently looking for a bike to replace my current Cube reaction gtc race (carbon + shimano XT).
After some research, I’ve narrowed down my options to the 2022 Superior XP 979 (€3000 -30% discount –> €2400) and the 2023 Cube Reaction C62 Race (€2200).
I’m having a bit of a dilemma and would appreciate some advice. The Superior comes at a higher price point, even with the discount, and I’m wondering if it’s worth the extra €200 compared to the Cube. The specs seem quite similar, and I’m open to upgrading the cassette and crank to an XT version after a year in case of the Cube.
Can anyone shed light on why the Superior is priced at €3000 originally, and if the differences justify the extra cost?

Cube tends to have exceptional components for their price points, for instance kashima when you’re really not expecting it. It’s not considered a sexy brand, but it basically always offer a very good deal for the money.
(My partner has a Cube road bike and it has performed exceptionally well for almost 8 years already. I never hesitate to support people buying Cube.)
