Hey everyone, I am looking to buy a bike to go to school every day(about 5km’s away). I’ve asked my old trainer who is a biker if he had any bike suggestions, he recommended this. Its 1450€ and the one I was planning to buy is triban RC 520.
Giant is equipped with shimano ultegra’s, my main concern is that going for giant and then parts breaking or needs to be replaced since its a 2016 model. I use a motorcycle and never owned a bicycle since I was 14 so I have no knowledge on about bicycles.
Triban seems like a safe bet for a first bike, but paying a little bit more for a better bike seems reasonable to me. Once I buy the bike I’ll sell my motorcycle so it will be my main type of transportation and I dont want to have issues after I bought the bike.
What should I do?

To add up, the bike is medium size, I am 5’6-5’7/170cm with 29.5/750 mm inseam. I checked the sizing fit on giant’s website and it says Im Medium but I am worried bike being large. If you guys say its a good offer, I can go and try.
