Hitting the rollers a couple weeks ago. A couple of seconds full spin on the rollers really takes it out of you. 14/50 ratio. Too big for me. I think I’ll try a 16t cog.

  1. I don’t think 50/14 may be the wrong gear, as you always have to work up your rpm with a higher gearing, I would say your drops are just way too low for you. If you increase stack and reach you will still achieve a lower position but without the overextended elbows. I know this isn’t as easy with a quill stem but shouldn’t be too hard without cables. It also move your arms further away from your knees giving them a bit more space. Especially when riding in the drops.
