Winter beach fishing for cod at night

Join myself and my son as we head to a local beach in search of cod in darkness.

We are armed with the best of baits and a new rod to test from
Zulcron sports.

Conditions are looking good and we are hoping to catch some fish .

Hello welcome back to the channel once again we are out tonight targeting Cod hopefully if you can see behind me but there’s an absolute team on this is I think it’s 2 or 3 days after my last video where I blank see it’s been very very quiet uh everywhere really after that

Prototype of J on SPS today to get the and uh I had a cast of it yesterday and uh cast absolutely lovely so I said I’d take it out night give it a go hopefully get a cut on it like conditions are great absolutely great tides are still small but got to

Pick some of up nice to Chris and the rod were a nice Cod light like I say it’s only your prototype just in test now but so far so good like um as I said our Tom’s R he’s using the super light yeah hopefully we can get a fish or two for the

Just cuz I wanted to catch some fish and now for uh running up an over on with five O’s on with a big lump of cart uh we got to fish here for about an hour an hour and a half till it floods in a bit

And we’re going to move and we’re going to go into some mixed ground see if we can get a Cod so yeah let’s see what happens said early I’ve brought that prototype out tonight and uh First cast there with a big lump of cart on went out lovely light

So see what happens hopefully it can chising the rod with a Cod and not a Whitey but uh yeah hopefully we bring his back for some fish there’s our Tommy just reeling in Fest choke you got out on soon fail some it keep it going son

His first truck there a tall clip down on yeah yellow tails on one crab on the other there quite a lot of swell running in like got dragged around a bit out on sun no out on definitely got a bike light pull his Rod tip over our Tommy’s on with just using the

We haven’t been pushed up the top the rod sat nice I said earlier this is the new uh prototype from zul run that I’m using tonight 13t 10 s nice there got that paired up with me Shimano technium 30 breid 100 leader our Tommy setup shano Bullseye 50b bread 100

Leader and that’s with the XT super light as you can see super lights longer all fantastic rods I Tommy so far shown me out to go on he’s had four fish bass a Whitey and two Coles and I’m yet to have a bite hopefully one of us get a codlin out of

Bite so yeah we might not count that one Christ would have caught hopefully well it’s awfully quiet really really quiet haven’t had a bite Tomy or a little bite maybe was half an hour ago didn’t come of anything I haven’t had a bite yet not a single touch H absolutely d

Like nothing happening most baits are coming in stripped obviously there’s a bit of crab activity and stuff with the with a small tides like but yeah bit aren’t last long really go 10 more minutes and see what we can get hopefully we show you a decent fish

All um really didn’t had had to go the bit like but yeah uh I think they’re just stuffed like I think there’s fish there but they’re stuffed like they occupied and all the all the wash outs like so I had to been in a kind of little night I’ve only had a few

Hours I maybe stayed a little bit longer but he’s not he was nearly not enough on the on the seat box so yeah thanks for watching first impressions of the uh that the new prototype Rod there like lovely lovely to cast sits nice in the swell

Cuz was a good swell on so it was it was nice over in the swell um I can’t comment on what what it’s like handling fish like cuz I didn’t catch out but uh I got snagged a couple of times I pulled out the snags fine he’s nothing

To get it out the snags like so yeah keep your uh eyes ped for next time out maybe I’ll catch some with it and there’ll be some other Lads having a go with as well so yeah keep your eyes pale for when the rod comes out and stuff
