I own one since new.
Im not young.
Not skinny.
How much better would any new bike be compared to it?
Geo aside, ( which I dont mind), I’ve always struggled on climbs. But poor carpenter always blames his tools, right? I dont shuttle, and climb all my descents first. Ive upgraded all but the frame including the proprietary yoke so that one can run standard 210×55 shock, and recently dabbled with 27plus (45mm) rims and studded plus tires. Basically: how bad of a bike is it, really?

Without knowing what parts you upgraded to, it’s hard to say.
But it doesn’t matter what we think. If it’s working for you it’s a good bike.
