Rubbed the paint off my midnight special

So i like your idea. Toss a strap or bungie on if youre worried

I wouldn’t feel comfortable with the bike rack arm only being snugged onto the front rack of the bike, seems like it would create stress where you don’t want it and do an improper job of securing the bike in the event of an unexpected bump/stop/etc. If it were just the fender it looks like it would be workable. Good looking bike!

With my Straggler that I run w/an 8 Pack Rack I put the arm on the rear wheel to get a better grip than on the front. But I don’t use fenders on the bike.

  4. I have used a similar bike rack for eight or nine years. One of the bikes I carry has a front rack so I check to make sure everything on the bike is tight each time I load my bike. I haven’t had any issues.

  5. The Kuat racks are the best! We drag our bikes with us everywhere. 1800 mile round trip to GA last week.

They are very secure but we do put a microfiber towel between the swing arm and bike to protect the bike paint. Also another one between the wheel strap and the wheels, especially if it’s our road bikes with carbon wheels.

Protect the touch points and you will be very happy with that rack!
