how do i own so many clothes???? it’s time for a declutter

This wardrobe clean-out was well-needed!!! I honestly expected to get rid of a few items here and there, but there was a lot more stuff that I had not worn in ages. Even though a big clearout does feel very freeing, I am working towards a more sustainable wardrobe overall where all pieces have a use and I’m not adding too much to the fast fashion cycle. This will always be a challenge for someone who likes fashion and clothes, so it’s baby steps :’))

I have not wanted to do this I put this off for a long time but it is a new season and it is time to get rid of some of my clothes the last time I did this was roughly just before summer cuz I went away for a long time over the

Summer so I did a bit clear out so I don’t think it’s going to be a huge clean out I already know a few pieces I want to get rid of but I know the majority of stuff here I want to keep saying that though there’s only a

Certain amount of clothing that I have been wearing and I have been pairing up and stuff like that the way that my wardrobe is sort of laid out is in like trousers tops and smaller bits than anything I can hang up and I tried to color coordinate it I’ve been doing that

For the last couple years I don’t know how well that’s working for me anymore it doesn’t seem like that’s how I actually pair my outfits it’s more like if I wear a certain pair of trousers there’s a certain type of top I would pair with it so we’ll see if I

Reorganized that and then I have all my dresses over there which I haven’t touched in way too long so that definitely need to clear out then I also have some bits down underneath all my hanging stuff which I need to go through because I don’t touch that ever and I

Kind of know what’s in there and it just needs to go and all my shoes and coats and stuff are in the wardrobe I’m going to have a quick look through them as well I think coats should be fine but shoes I might have to have a little look

Through I also love having an open wardrobe I thought about putting curtains up um and like a railing at the ceiling so I can cover it but first thing it’s not like anyone other than usse comes into this room so it doesn’t really matter that much and second of

All having this open wardrobe helps me so much know and remember what pieces I have my brain works in the way that if I don’t see something it doesn’t exist to me so having it open I see it every day every night before I go to bed obviously

There are a few pieces that I forget about or that are sort of a bit tucked in but the majority of things I can see and I think that really helps me I’m just going to start with everything that’s up here and try on some things and see whether I’m actually going to
