So this bike is down from £549 on Evans Cycles to £189. But after some research, I’ve being seeing a lot of negative stuff about Schwinn.
I’m looking to use it 4/5 days a week as a daily commuter bike in London and the occasional park/trail.
Surely for this discount it’s a pretty good deal? Has anyone got experience with Schwinn bikes? Basically would you spend ~£200 on this bike
Would love to hear opinions.

Schwinn makes both trash bikes and decent cheap bikes at the same time, that’s why you hear so many negative things about them. I think this is one of the decent ones and that is a very good price. It really can’t hurt to try at that price. It will be sold out quickly.
While yes, I suspect the next poster may try to tell you that there’s better bikes than this out (and they are right), I doubt you could just buy the wheels for this price elsewhere. At this price even if it’s not the best bike in the world, it’s a good value proposition. Buy it to see if you really love riding – you can always ride it for a year or two before buying a better bike.
Besides, an expensive bike sitting in a shed is worse than a cheap bike being loved and used every day.
