Trying to upgrade an older bike with some “newer” components. Old set is the Altus from probably 80-81, newer is a Shimano 600 tricolor from I guess 83 onwards. The Altus has its hanger “Integrated” – the 600 doesn’t. Would this fit with a aftermarket hanger?

Can you reuse the hanger from the Altus?
Should do, I’m sure it’s a std thread across all brands, just need a hanger that fits your dropout.
