Did a trip from Horseshoe Bay up to Whistler. Heavy ride the first day to Whistler – Garmin said ~1800m climbing and 120km. Lots of great spots to have lunch in Squamish but don’t hang too long cause we felt pretty sluggish when we hopped back on our bikes and started the ascent to Whistler.

The ride back is gorgeous with the road overhanging all of the gorgeous views and tons of descent. Bring an extra layer for this part of the ride!

Overall the shoulder was great but watch out for the storm drains as they can be a bit tight in a few sections.

From the limited gear, you can tell we had a place to crash up in Whistler, but there were TONS of great wild camping spots you could hit if you had some cycle cross tires and a sturdy frame.
