  1. Welding it would be a bad idea anyway, but most crankarms are aluminum and most pedal spindles are steel, so there’s that.

  2. Assuming it’s a steel crank, you could technically weld it to a steel pedal spindle. If you go that route, you’re going to want to disassemble the pedals first so the heat doesn’t destroy the bearings/bushings.

    That said, this looks like a relatively cheap crankset. a replacement crankset likely costs less than a welder is going to charge.
