Need advice on choosing between the [Canyon Grizl 6 1by](https://www.canyon.com/en-dk/gravel-bikes/adventure/grizl/al/grizl-6-1by/3716.html) (with SRAM Apex 1×12 speed) and the [Grizl 7 1by](https://www.canyon.com/en-dk/gravel-bikes/adventure/grizl/al/grizl-7-1by/3468.html?dwvar_3468_pv_rahmenfarbe=R075_P04) (with Shimano 1×11 speed – mix of GRX 812 and 600). The Grizl 6 is a bit more budget-friendly and lighter, but unfortunately, it’s not available currently in my size. On the other hand, the Grizl 7 is in stock, albeit slightly pricier and heavier.
I’m torn between SRAM and Shimano, considering the different components. Additionally, there’s the factor of 12 speed on the Grizl 6 versus 11 speed on the Grizl 7. I ride a mix of gravel and asphalt, so I’m wondering how these specs would impact my experience on both terrains. I have ridden mechanical Shimano 105 and electronic SRAM Rival etap AXS, but neither Shimano GRX or mechanical SRAM with double tap.
Any insights on the SRAM vs Shimano debate, the gear ratios (12 vs 11 speed), and their cost difference would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your input.
