I’m ready to move onto destructive methods. I have a replacement cartridge bottom bracket in hand, so I don’t need to save this part. My question is: How should I go about removing this without losing what’s left of my sanity without harming the frame?

Putting the flats on the BB in a vice and turning the frame? Worked on my 1990 frame with the original BB.
Is is French threaded? Gotta ask that first, everyone is going to ask what direction you are turning.
Also it’s reversed threaded iirc
Weld something to the cup, put weldment in vice, turn frame. Or visit established LBS
Big bolt and nut, a few fender washers, and the biggest baddest pneumatic impact wrench you can find.
A Big crescent wrench and a 6′ plus breaker bar should do it. Will take two or three people. We used to use the steel exit door security bar slid over a crescent wrench at the bike shop I worked at in high school. Worked everytime. Should be reverse thread.
