Looking for a set of light trail-ish, 30mm carbon wheels.
Was looking at the Hunts, I heard they have good wheels, but found the DT Swiss also at a good price. The Hunts are a bit lighter (which I’m after), but are the Swiss much higher quality? Are they actually worth it?

DT offer awesome quality, IMO. The hubs are easily serviced and upgraded to higher engagement (without tools, even). I have a pair of EX1700 and X1900 and both are great. The hubs just sound nice, as well. They are not screamers like i9 or other 3-pawl designs, which I like.
I think you might have reversed the weights in your post. But I would go with the Dt swiss at those prices. The Dt hubs are very nice and will last a long time. I also like building with Dt swiss spokes a bit more than pillar.
DT Swiss by far. I run their EXCs and they’re amazing and DT Swiss is known for their quality. Hunts aren’t.
I’m going with the DT Swiss 1501. Been eying them also recently after I had on a demo bike and really really liked them.
I have never been let down with DT Swiss. No experience with Hunt. If you’re still on the fence I will also add that DT Swiss provides a lifetime warranty while Hunt is 3 years, so there’s some potential value in that as well
DT Swiss gets my vote. While the hoops on the Hunts are good I have heard plenty of issues with their hubs from the gravel world, so I wouldn’t expect them to fair any better in a MTB application.
