In our lives Psalm 150 uh verse one says praise ye the Lord praise God in his Sanctuary Praise Him in the firmament of his power praise him for his mighty Arts Praise Him according to his excellent greatness praise him with the sound of the trumpet with a Sury and op praise
Him with timberl and dance praise him with Str instruments and organs praise him with loud symbols with with the eyes sounding symbols let everything that has breath praise the Lord and and for me it’s exciting that this is how this old scripture ends because we might not have everything
Else we might not have symbols and Loud symbols and trumpets but one thing we all have here is the breath and as long as we have breath we’re qualified if I’m more than qualified to praise God can I have an amen from someone so I just want

Year and I wish somebody happy New Year you know there’s a a funny thought that came to my mind a couple of days ago just before um we got into 2024 and the question I came to my mind does God say Happy New Year and I mean I thought about it because
God has already God knows what’s happening 2024 right he has time in his hands and so he it it pays us um for us to really trust in him amen and I pray that this year will not just be a happy New Year but that um our Joys will be
Full in Jesus name but that being said it doesn’t mean that there won’t be any challenges right okay but God the guarantee that God has given us he doesn’t guarantee us that there will not be any challenges we we want to live a life without any challenge right but and
The truth is that God doesn’t guarantee us a problem free life he doesn’t guarantee us a challenge free life but what he guarantees us is that we’re Overcomers in this life amen praise God so this morning i’ asked Pastor a that okay is there you know you know churches
Churches always um at at you know doing the crossover service did you guys have a crossover service no you don’t okay you guys are you like that so but you know in crossover Services you know into the new year you hear churches come and say oh this year 2024
Is the year of double that is the year of my lifting now here’s what I have to say about those things they’re true but the truth is that 1954 was also my of double lifting if if you if you believed in it if do you understand even even

Just that we don’t speak KJV English today do you understand our children don’t even understand KJV I I I I just let you know that Jesus Christ did not speak KJV Jesus Christ not even speak English I hope you know that because lot of people feel that KJV is the is the real
Thing is a lie all right so I’m reading from Ni he says blessed is the one who does not walk in step with Wicked or stand in the way that Sinners take or sit in the company of mockers all right so let me start that let me read the Amplified
Version of that it says blessed then in bracket it says fortunate prosperous and favored by God is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked I means following their advice and example nor stand in the path of Sinners nor sit down to rest
In the seat of scuffers that is ridiculous all right now let’s look at this says blessed now Amplified says that word blessed means to be or blessed means to be fortunate to be prosperous to be favored by god let’s break that down what does it mean to be fortunate
Now I love examples I love giving examples now I I studied engineering not because I wanted to but because my I mean more or less I did it for my father’s sake and I have not practiced it for one day I mean I studied civil engineering you cannot even dare to
Entrust me to build your house because it’s probably going to collapse all right so um but one thing that saved me especially doing engineering maths there was a guy who wrote a book called engineering mathematics by K Stout that guy who knows that guy who who knows
That book I’m hoping to I’m hoping to see that guy in heaven and honestly before if he’s there before I hug Paul that’s the first place I go to hog because that guy saved by life and the reason why he made that thing so simple was because of the kind of examples that
He used so you you know other engineering mathematics they would they be solving um equations XY they just be using x a b but this guy will use the numbers and he will make it it makes he helped to make it make sense so I like to Give an
Example what does it mean to be fortunate let me give an example of something that happened to me like two months ago now on October 1st I had this no second I had this concert in Lagos in Nigeria and while we were preparing preparing for the concert somebody
Needed to use um to cut something so I borrowed this expensive SS knife from a friend of mine handed it over to the guy who needed it then I forgot to collect it back from the person but on the day I was leaving Nigeria which was October 4
I remembered I got the knife and I was going to give it back to my friend but I forgot and I put it by the side pocket of my backpack guess what I went through airport security in Lagos they didn’t see it and I was flying luthan so um so
As as I was now this is where the holy spirit is so wonderful and so kind as I was about to enter the plane I just remembered there’s a knife right here so I handed so I I spoke to lady at the desk I said you know what I’d like to
Hand this knife over to you and I got her number and then was able to you know get her to give the knife back to U my friend now I just imagine what would have happened if I got to Frankfurt and they saw the knife clearly they will
Find it and I’m clearly going to be branded a terrorist now so I thank God but I didn’t realize how fortunate I was until one month after I was back in Nigeria the following month and I I was playing I mean there was a friend of
Mine we on the same flight he a pastor he’s a businessman he lives in the us and we’re going through security and they stopped him and and they got and at that point you see two policemen they just came with guns what was the problem this guy had an extra sized
Toothpaste toothpaste that he already used half you know your supposed to have maybe just take on 100 Mil maybe this one was 150 he already used half so maybe he had 50 mil and the police ended let him go and I was not thinking toothpaste Versus Knife you can imagine what would have
Happened I was fortunate amen it says to be blessed means to be prosperous we all know what it means to be prosperous to be uh well to do to be well of but this is this is something I want to say about Prosperity Prosperity is not just for
Our own personal benefits do you understand that it’s not just for our personal benefits now we we pray a lot and listen I I need money I I want money but I’ve come to to realize that God doesn’t bless me just for my benefit if I’m one of things I realized
In my life that sometimes God gives me money for safekeeping for somebody else’s benefit I mean I’ve seen that again let me let me share this story with you uh I wrote about it I shared about it on Instagram a couple of days ago I I wrote
Something uh a note to parents now when my my daughter I mean my wife and I have a child um my daughter she’s what now she’s going to be 25 in March now uh when she was in secondary school one day the the school said oh she’s been uh
Then were living in in Lagos in Nigeria the school said oh she’s been nominated with some other people to go to America for one leadership course and we’re so excited until we learned that we’re going to pay some money the airfare and then a $2,000 fee
And at that point in time I was even struggling to pay her school fees because I mean we made sure that she had a very good education so sometimes I couldn’t even pay her school fees in in in full I I paid I would say maybe on
The pay as you hard basis right so when she came I just told her look this is not even a prayer point for me I’m not even going to pray about it I I don’t have it if you want to go pray and pray she did because she really
Wanted to go she prayed she fasted now guess what happened one day I was sitting in the office and a lady came up to me and no she called IID like to see I said fine so she came we talked about what you know I mean she what want to
Talk about and then as she was about to leave she gave me an envelope and said God laid it in her heart to give this to me I opened the envelope what do we have there $2,000 I knew the money was not for me it was for my daughter I couldn’t wait
To do school runs that day and tell her that your faith has made you whole so many times or sometimes God gives us stuff blesses us not just for our own personal benefit but for the benefit of others I watched uh a a drama skit way back in the day about this guy
This little child who was going to school and the father no was going to church on a Sunday morning so the father told the gave the the let’s say he gave the guy two pounds right so two one pound coins I said use this one to eat
Use one pound to eat and one pound for offering so the guy was going and then then he tripped and fell down and one coin fell out of his pocket and you know he couldn’t find it sear he couldn’t find it he looks up says God that’s a one pound this
One this remaining one is for [Laughter] food praise the name of the Lord Hall so God calls us blessed we’re fortunate were prosperous and then he says he also means to be favored this year I pray that you will experience God’s favor like never before you see
Favor is one of the things that I came to appreciate and understand when I got born again you see in this life uh the race doesn’t go to the fastest the fight doesn’t go to the strongest even though you need to be strong in the fight the world has become so
Competitive do you understand that you need God’s favor to single you out praise God so we need we need God’s favor I’ll tell you an example of how um of how God Favored Me So back in the day when I was this is how he started when I was in the
University um my parents gave bir to six of us I don’t even know how they did it because I only have one and I’ve almost died you know paying school fees right so um so once my Dad paid your school fees there’s there’s no exch child there’s no
Luxury so you had to work for your lectures sometimes work for 45 minutes but which in itself Looking Back Now was good but I would stay so I I asked God I said God you know is it possible for me to get a free ride every time I get on
The road and and I’ll walk to our Junction and I’ll stay there and I’ll give you let me give you one example I’ll stay there and there’ll be probably like 12 of us at the junction waiting for a ride and someone will come down on the
Bike I don’t know the person and the guy will KN to me and say come just me now you might say that’s a bike a bike can only pick one person I’ve had instances where a cow would come pick me alone and zoom off and leave everybody else you
See God can single you out amen and I pray that that would be your portion in the mighty name of Jesus now if you go back to that scripture it says blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked who is wicked there are wicked there
Have been Wicked people in every age do you understand it may seem that there is more wickedness in this dispensation but I tell you even in the Bible they’re Wicked people you see the Bible is called the good book but I call it the good bad the Bible is a compendium of
Good bad and ugly instances you just need wisdom and insight and discernment to do the right thing praise God let’s look at Psalm 73 can we turn to Psalm 73 and so that we we look at one of the things that probably goes through our minds as Christians some of you have
These thoughts in in your mind but you’ve not been bold enough to say it out because you think that it’s blasphemy but there’s somebody who has been able to articulate it Psalm 73 I think it’s a Psalm of Asaf if I’m correct it’s aalm of Asa now let’s look
At this starting from verse one it says surely God is good to Israel to those who are pure in Hearts it says but as for me my feet had almost slipped I had nearly lost my foothold why for I envied the arrogance when I saw the prosperity of the wicked verse four they
Have no struggles their bodies are healthy and strong they are free from common human burdens and they are not plagued by human ills how many of you can relate with this right that these guys are having it so good he say they are free from common human burdens they are not plagued by
Human ills their pride is therefore their necklace they clothe themselves with violence from their callous heart comes iniquity their evil imaginations have no limits they scoff and speak with males with arrogance they threaten oppression their mouths lay claim to heaven and their tongues take possession of the earth therefore the people turn
To them and drink up Waters in abundance they say how would God know does the most high know anything this is what the wicked are like always free of care they go on amasing wealth now this is what we Christians this is the position we are
Now arrive at at verse 13 it says surely in vain I have kept my heart pure and have washed my hands in innocence all day long I’ve have been Afflicted and every morning brings new punishments I I want to ask is there anyone here who has never felt that this Christianity
Thing right am I the only sinner praise God you see people who you know who in your own opinion you let’s look at that guy who was on the cross beside Jesus Christ he kissed all the girls he did all the bad things I’m sure that’s the kind of life that we want
Do all the bad things enjoy and just at the last moment Jesus will say tonight you will be with me in Paradise praise God but you see life is not like that praise God so this scripture in Psalm 1 going back says do not stand in
The way that Sinners take sin as your sin sin isn’t going to appear more Despicable it’s actually becoming more glamorous right and more acceptable let me read a few verses Luke 18:8 as a warning or as a guideline to us this is these are the words of
Jesus he said I tell you Luke 18:8 it says I tell you he will see he was talking about um this is a story of the lady who had the importunate lady who went and was asking the judge you know for justice he said I tell you he will
See that they get Justice and quickly he says however when the son of man comes will he find faith on the Earth when the son of man comes will he now this is Jesus speaking when the son of man comes will he find faith on the earth he didn’t answer the question you
Have to answer that question what about Matthew 24 4 24 Matthew 24:24 says for false Messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive if possible even the elect let me read that again false Messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to
Deceive if possible even the elect you see let me tell you something about Jesus Jesus Christ did not die and Rise Up from the dead just to provide signs and wonders all right he came to save our souls he came and he came to make us the light of the
World praise God but we live in a dispensation where there is so much focus on self you even hear things like self love selfish praise God so I want to say to us today do not the that that scripture says do not stand on that street where sin is R
Now if you are like 25 and above let’s leave all our young our young uh our children if you are 25 and above or 20 and above you should have an idea of yourself you should know your weakness right and once you know your weaknesses don’t lie to yourself don’t say I’m
Strong if for instance uh drinking alcohol is a weakness now I’m not saying don’t drink wine but too much because I don’t want to get into any whatever but if you know yourself that once you take one glass is going to lead to two is going to lead to
Three four 5 6 7 8 and then you become and that has happened over the years don’t lie to yourself that you can handle it flee from every appearance of evil praise God and the truth is that we don’t deal with the same demons do you understand we don’t deal
With the same demons some people this is their own demon some people so you know yourself and ask God to help you be truth be truthful be vulnerable with God Amen be vulnerable with God if if listen this is not the Year I hope there’s nobody on
This day 7th of January who is holding somebody in unforgiveness you see you have to understand that phrase happy New Year saying Happy New Year doesn’t mean anything will change that’s just a wish do you understand you have to deliberately change stuff I mean just saying Happy New Year
Because you you know you mooved from 2022 to 2023 and some things didn’t change and we all said Happy New Year we actually screamed it on top of our faces we sent Happy New Year to a thousand people on our broadcast list but things didn’t change that’s just a wish praise God
So many times we think now I want us to look at that this scripture going back to Psalm one let me go back to to Psalm 1 to see because many times we think that our change comes by not just doing something you see you will you have to stop doing

Delight in the law of the Lord you see many times spiritual things don’t look delightful from the outside how many of you when you decide that I’m going to wake up at 5:00 to pray really are excited when that alarm rings and anyone you set the alarm 5:00
And let me tell you something about alarms alarms are the next most faithful thing after God because as long as there’s power in your phone it’s going to ring whether you now wake up whether you now stand up is another thing so I want to find out if I’m the only sinner
