If there’s air inside the rim, it’s usually a tape issue
Remove all the old tape and redo it, and also check the valve is tight

I was skeptical of the bontrager wheel liners at first but seeing countless clips of wheels leaking at seams. I’m sold on them.

for me i retapped several times, then found it was actually leaking from the value, over night the sealant did it’s job and stopped leaking air.

Has the tyre fully bead fully seated? Have you added sealant yet?
Did you tape with tubeless tape?

Same here DT Swiss 533d, tubless sealant will works on that point it should flow there! All DT tubeless rims are a piece of shit😁

My new rims and tires took a couple rides before it held air 100%. My fix was swapping tryes to figure out if it was the rim or tyre then add extra sealant. Go ride immediately. Repeat if needed. Yours does look like rim tape. I know DTs are pre taped but nothing’s perfect

You need to install your rim tape and valve properly. Rims won’t seal on their own! Make sure you are using the proper width for your rim and that the rim is clean before installation. Also make sure to give a spin and shake after inflating your tires to get sealant into the places that centrifugal forces won’t!
Happy trails 🤙

To explain the other comments: this isn’t a rim issue because there shouldn’t be air in the rim in the first place. The tape doesn’t seal correctly and that allows air to get into the rim which isn’t supposed to hold any air. That’s why it isn’t airtight at the seam nor anywhere else.

Use a tape 2mm wider than the ID of the rim. That+ tire bead leaves no possibility of air to leak through a Sram unless you’ve got a bad tape job or the bung of the valve isn’t seating well. On DT rims I’ve found the U shaped bungs work a little better to conform to the bead channel than the O shaped ones.

Why wouldn’t you guys just run tubes?

Always rest wheels horizontally changing sides for at least half an hour for it to seal properly. If that fails then check out tape and valve

Exactly why I am using inner-tubes
I would double check your rim tape.
