Hi I’m Ben this is Emily this is Alan and this is our home a 56t narrow boat that we travel the UK canals and rivers on recently we bought a second boat it’s a project boat and we will slowly renovate it into an extra space join us

Today oh wow there we go there’s the river that looks quite fast okay a little bit further come On So we’ve mowed here a few times haven’t we yeah it’s lovely here it is a very nice peaceful spot it’s an amazing bit in the when it’s uh nicer weather it does get busy though yeah a lot of people come here cuz there’s free parking and they come for nice walks and

Stuff there’s sometimes a roving Traders trading from the canal as well like Cafe boats and stuff so that was Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve that we just walked through we only walked through a little bit of it and then this is the Rochdale Canal we’re going to go now

Find some lunch just get back to the van get back to Allan it’s cold it’s really cold no all right let’s get off then Alan shall We No we’re going to go get some breakfast at a place called roast and toast which is just here at the warf we are hungry

This is where we used to M as well just over here this was the bit we used to try and get a spot so this is the saby bridge sort of Marina uh this is where the Rochdale Canal ends and the cold and heble begins and the lengths of the lock are shorter

On the C and heble and I think that it used to be a bit of a switching point where stock and C all that whatever textiles used to get dropped here picked up by another boat and then it would carry on East W so I think the locks are

About TW are they 58t long instead of so a lot 72 actually down there is where the shortest lock is it’s only a few locks down that’s anyway when I said it was the Rochdale earlier when we were at Cromwell bottom I was wrong it’s the colder and heble I totally forgot stored

In the last sort of 15 years I think yeah this whole bit it was all shut down what’s that boat yard called can’t remember the guy who runs it is the guy who helped he helped restore that place in a lot of the rdale
