I went to the bike shop yesterday shopping gravel bikes and working with with a sales guy.
At the end of our convo I asked if they sold used bikes and that’s when his eyes light up and he told me that he has the perfect bike.
Apparently, he races gravel and bought a 2023 BROAM 30. He wrote this to me:
“So it has Shimano GRX I changed the tires to MAXXIS Rambler 40mm tires that are set up Tubeless! It’s a medium frame. and yes this is a bike that our tire shop works on because we are a felt dealer and this bike came directly from the felt rep whom with I have a really close relationship and of course this bike is covered under warranty! Also with purchase you will get 1 free service here at the shop! The price for the bike is $1300”
Yesterday, he told me the price he could let it go is $1,100. He said that quickly.
I’m sure after thinking about it, he bumped it up.
Is this a bike I should go after at $1,000-$1,100?
He said that he wants to change out the bike because he wants to go to electric shifting, as he’s used to that.
What do y’all think?

It has GRX which you wont find new for that price, it’s been maintained by a professional mechanic, they’re willing to cover it under warranty, you get dealer support and you still get the free tuneup you’d get if you bought a new bike from them.
Those are all green flags, if you like the bike and you trust the mechanic/shop I’d go for it 100%.
That’s a cool ass bike. I’d buy it.

The Felt Broam 60 was my first bike and was super versatile for me, I think you’ll love it. The 30 has hydraulic brakes too which will be a huge boon. Plus the geometry is pretty casual so it will be more comfortable than other more ‘racy’ bikes.
Though in this pic it has the stock Refuse tires and not Ramblers, so is it just an old pic?
