I posted in bike wrench without any responses. Swapped my rival axs 2x to 1x replacing derailleur, crank, and chain. Rear derailleur looks like it has a chunk sawed out after like 100 miles. Did I just fuck up setting something up? I put in the recommended bb spacers for a wide crank.

Looks like you routed the chain wrong. Should be a backwards S. It goes under that guide

Classic chain routing mistake. Every mechanic on earth has done this.
Damnnn! I’ve done that before but didn’t think it could saw through the derailleur
Recently waxed all of my chains and made this same mistake on ALL THREE bikes. Now each of my derailleurs has a nice bite mark out of it to remind me to take my damn time. You love and you learn (and then you ride your bike some more)
