I originally was running shimano 105 R7000 34/50 and 11-32 cassette.
Felt 2x wasn’t right for my gravel bike (which I built to be identical to my road bike). Wanted to go 1x but on the cheap. So grabbed an L-Twoo Gr9 rear derailleur, a 11-42 cassette and shimano Cues U6000 42t crankset. Still using the original 105 R7020 shifters.
The L-Twoo shifts really well and has a very strong clutch so chain tension is really high. Do need to be super on point with the shifter cable barrel adjuster! 1/16th of a turn either way and it would hold on to one of the gears on the downshift.
