DOUBLE TROUBLE: ‘AGGRESSIVE’ POLICE OFFICER PROMPTS TWO PROFESSIONAL STANDARD INVESTIGATIONS JUST WEEKS APART

A WEST YORKSHIRE POLICE OFFICER has for the second time been reported to the Professional Standards Directorate for ‘pepper-spraying’ multiple bystanders just weeks after a previous investigation where she ‘wrongly arrested’ a disabled child.

On Sunday evening (October 22) Police were called to reports of disorder after a car was stopped by officers on Third Avenue in #Rothwell, #Leeds.

Three officers received minor injuries in the disorder which followed, and two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of offences including assaulting police officers.

However, in footage circulating a Police officer can be seen ‘pepper-spraying’ multiple bystanders in the incident, who it is understood had nothing to do with the incident. Whilst other officers remained calm, the female officer in question can be seen proactively ‘antagonising’ onlookers, pepper spray in hand.

West Yorkshire Police said in a statement:

“West Yorkshire Police is aware of footage circulating on social media around some disorder on Third Avenue, Rothwell on Sunday (22/10) afternoon.

“The matter is being investigated and body worn footage currently being reviewed.

“A referral has been made to the Professional Standards Directorate.”

It is not yet known if the officer in question has been suspended or not.

In August, a video on social media went viral showing a 16-year-old autistic girl being aggressively arrested for saying the same officer looked like her ‘lesbian nanny’.

West Yorkshire Police’s Professional Standards Directorate is continuing to carry out a review of the circumstances after receiving a complaint in relation to the incident.

Assistant Chief Constable Oz Khan said at the time: “We recognise the significant level of public concern that this incident has generated, and we have moved swiftly to fully review the evidence in the criminal investigation which has led to the decision to take no further action.

“Without pre-empting the outcome of the ongoing review of the circumstances by our Professional Standards Directorate, we would like to reassure people that we will take on board any lessons to be learned from this incident.

“We do appreciate the understandable sensitivities around incidents involving young people and neurodiversity and we are genuinely committed to developing how we respond to these often very challenging situations.”

  1. What is going to happen. Her colleagues will let her go off on a rage, make a big mistake and get her head caved in. The other officers will react but only when she's had a proper kicking. They will teach her a lesson on how to behave.

  2. There are two reasons why Lesbian Nana Copper stopped spraying all and sundry with the pepper…..
    1. She walked into a cloud of it as she sprayed willy nilly, here and there, so she had to run from it. You can see it happen.
    2. She had used it all up.
Unhinged tyrant not fit for prepose.

  3. She is unhinged. I think I have seen video of her before. She was aggressive then too. I don't think the word "de-escalation" is in her vocabulary. My advice to the police is to never allow this officer to transfer to one of the armed units.

  4. "That Bovine is a danger to the public, even tried to spray the girl walking past, 2nd time she has gone viral for her actions since the Nana Lesbian incident." quote..

  5. Not one of those street predators tried to stop that thug officer from assaulting everyone within reach, not one. The phrase "Not Fit For Purpose" springs to mind. Yet they want to connect with the community? BS.
